I am a PHP, Go and TypeScript developer based in Minneapolis.
I work across the entire stack, but I’m happiest in the backend. Moving data, pushing bytes around, making things fast.
I ❤️ tiny reusable parts with single responsibilities and no side effects. I keep code simple, clear, and easy for anyone to read.
I’ve spent fifteen years in EdTech keeping old systems running and new ones from catching fire. Before that I built industrial and B2B tools where things had to work because people depended on them.
I’ve been putting MDDoc to work in Corpus Coding Standard, moving its generated documentation onto Composer autoloading and checking that the README stays in sync with the code. It’s a nice real-world proving ground for making PHP project docs more reliable and easier to maintain.
I’ve also kept expanding MDDoc itself: it now understands enums, can follow Composer autoloaders, and does a better job finding declarations inside nested statements and across files. I’ve been tightening up the resolver work behind preserving conditional declarations and language literals in generated documentation, so documentation can reflect more of the code that real PHP projects actually contain.
Alongside that, I’ve been using AlikeColorFinder as another consumer of MDDoc, restructuring its documentation configuration around reusable sections and generated dependency/install details. The broader theme has been making small developer tools more capable without making their day-to-day use more complicated.
I’ve been appreciating how much atmosphere comes from visual style: the softer, dreamlike lighting in older games can make a space feel especially warm and inviting.
